The paragraph should read
Outraged by the continued persistence and pervasiveness of all forms of violence
against women and girls worldwide, including domestic violence, and emphasizing that
such violence is a violation, abuse or impairment of human rights and, as such, is
completely unacceptable,
2. Thirteenth preambular paragraph
The paragraph should read
Reiterating the need to intensify efforts at all levels to prevent and eliminate all
forms of violence against women and girls, including domestic violence, throughout the
world, and stressing that women’s economic, political and social empowerment is essential
for preventing violence and addressing the underlying causes of violence against women
and girls, including indigenous women and girls,
3. Paragraph 5
The paragraph should read
5. Expresses concern that domestic violence is the most prevalent and least
visible form of violence against all women and girls, and that its consequences are long-
lasting and profound, and affect many areas in the lives of victims and their communities;
