After paragraph 9, insert a new paragraph reading

9 bis. Calls upon States to combat the risks of physical and psychological abuse

that older women face due to discriminatory societal attitudes and the non-realization of

their human rights, as well as some harmful traditional and customary practices, including

within families, often exacerbated by poverty and lack of access to legal protection;
